Going into the PDF niche was a natural progression for us since we've always been focused on creating solutions that help handling and retrieving information. If you browse through the various projects that we've developed in Nocturnes, you'll find information-retrieval projects (today these types of applications are more commonly known as 'search engines'), a catalog tool and various other projects.

All those applications either required us to be able to retrieve data and texts from PDF files or to create PDF files. Along the years we've become more acquainted with the PDF format and its uses. We've discovered that there are many people that need to extract data from PDF files and that is why we've started Cogniview.
